VALENCIA POINTE, A 690-HOMES COMMUNITY, TAKES FIRST PLACE IN THE SAFETY AND SECURITY CATGORY FROM COMMUNITIES OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS


An active adult community with more than 200 volunteers and an active community outreach, Valencia Pointe was described at the award ceremony as a role model for Florida community associations.  The Community Manager also received a Manager of Excellence Award.

Recently the community added new fences, security cameras in the clubhouse and front gate, hired a new security company, disseminated new access badges and has an active, on-site community observer patrol program.

The Awards Committee is made up of independent expersts, representatives of state and local government and agencies that help recognize communities for their best practices and accomplishments.  The award is the only statewide recognition program for condo andhomeowner associations, recognizing communities across Florida for outstanding achievements that cover all aspects of community life and the community's operation.

Valencia Reserve received the Trendsetter Award for an innovative assisted listening system, the hearing loop system, for hard of hearing residents.
